Set the Stage Consulting' s owner,
Gretchen Robinson has worked for ten years in residential design, going into homes for the purpose of achieving pleasing aesthetic changes specifically designed for each client.

In 2004 Gretchen created Set the Stage Consulting. It started out as a "Design to Sell" service for individuals wishing to improve the marketability of their homes for the selling market, using various design and staging techniques.

In a short time the business expanded to include residential downsizing services, after a large retirement community contacted Set the Stage to express the need for this service for their clientele.

Finally, after numerous inquiries from folks who were not moving, Set the Stage now offers home staging for those who simply want to improve the look and function of rooms in their present home.

Gretchen Robinson is an Allied ASID professional and was employed at Gilbert Street Interiors in Iowa City, Iowa for ten years.
